FAQ
Which Greek island is best for a day trip from Turkey?
The shortest crossings are Kaş–Kastellorizo (10–30 min), Çeşme–Chios (20 min–1 h) and Bodrum–Kos (20–45 min). Kastellorizo is small enough to see in a few hours; on Chios and Kos a day trip covers part of the island.
Which ferries run in winter?
Ayvalık–Lesvos, Çeşme–Chios, Kuşadası–Samos, Bodrum–Kos, Marmaris–Rhodes, Fethiye–Rhodes and Kaş–Kastellorizo run all year, with fewer sailings in winter. See the season calendar month by month.
Can I take a car across?
As of October 2026 only Ayvalık–Lesvos and Çeşme–Chios carry cars, and Turkish rental cars usually may not leave Turkey. See taking a car to the Greek islands.
How are the suggestions made?
A simple score based on whether the route runs in your month, the crossing time, the island's size and the interests you tick. Route data is the same as on our ferry map.
